Every Grace Winery wedding is beautiful. How can it not be? The property is so pastoral and serene with it’s lush vineyard, perfectly restored stone barn and historic Inn. The horses, goats and donkeys flank the property and it’s just a place that makes everyone happy. Add to that a stellar team of wedding professionals like KPW Productions, Devon & Pinkett, and Two Paper Doll Design to name just a few (all are linked at the end of this blog) and you’ve got a perfect storm of creative potential. Working with super talented folks like these makes our job easier, the photos better, and the day just more fun!
Even with all this eye candy, what makes a wedding are the people involved, why we’ve all come together. As luxurious as the florals were, it was Anna and Dan that made the day shine. The way they looked at each other, the tenderness in which Dan held Anna, the courtesy, the love. The hope in Anna’s eyes that it would all come together perfectly on and the wonderment when it did. And it was. Perfect.
The reception was my favorite part. The speeches, given by each sister, that brought everyone to tears. There’s something so intimate about looking through the camera lens and seeing the look in a parent’s eyes when one child gives a moving speech about their sibling. It’s so touching, so emotional. In a surprise move, Dan took to the stage and sang Anna three songs. It was awesome. And the sparkler exit…no place is better suited for a sparkler exit than a Grace Winery wedding. Such a powerful and poignant way to say goodbye and end the night. Anna and Dan ran out, eyes sparkling and faces aglow. We took one final picture, memorializing the end of a day they’ll never forget.
