Kate and Ben got married in a museum known for medical oddities (which made us love them from the start). A stroll past the wedding cake and down the stairs leads you to highlights such as the conjoined liver of famous Siamese twins Chang and Eng. And the skeleton of the tallest giant in North America next to a skeleton of a dwarf. And President Grover Cleveland’s tumor. Truly, this place is delightful, full of endless anatomical fun. It’s our favorite museum in the city. Because we’re weird like that. So besides the creepy “wet specimens” and skulls and tongue-in-cheek collection of things swallowed, the College of Physicians (and Mutter Museum) is a beautiful, historic space just perfect for a wedding. And their outdoor courtyard may be one of the nicest for an outdoor wedding in Philly.
Other (non-scientific) things we liked about Kate and Ben’s wedding:
1) Jones their doggie ring bearer! Yes please to any four-legged friend joining the wedding day, he stole the show.
2) The bridesmaids dresses were perfection. Different colors, different styles, and each looked so unique and pretty with the setting.
3) Kate has amazing hair (even Dutch pointed this out)
4) Kate and Ben are hilarious. Which always makes a wedding day fun to photograph (and even more fun for that videographer when he goes to edit the sound, ha!)
