Michelle and Russ’s wedding at Zahav was absolute perfection—laid-back, stylish, and filled with the kind of energy that makes you wish the night would never end. These two are not only ridiculously good-looking (seriously, I still don’t know whose hair wins), but they’re also effortlessly cool and totally in sync. From the moment they got ready at the Kimpton Monaco, there was zero stress. It was just two people excited to get married, no fuss, no drama. Their first look at Independence Park was the perfect mix of romance and ease. No grand theatrics, just an authentic moment between two people who get each other.
Skipping a traditional wedding party, Michelle and Russ did things their own way. A few close friends stopped by for photos, but there was no orchestrated chaos—just a relaxed vibe that let them enjoy the day without a schedule breathing down their necks. It made everything feel natural, especially against the historic streets of Old City. You could see it in the way they moved together, free-spirited, completely at ease, and, honestly, a pleasure to photograph. They weren’t performing for the camera; they were just being themselves, which is exactly what makes for the best kind of wedding.
Then came Zahav. If you know, you know. Chef Mike Solomonov’s legendary Israeli cuisine was a highlight all on its own. This has been our favorite restaurant since it opened. Pair the infamous food with a ceremony bathed in natural light, framed by a lush floral arch in soft whites, pinks, and peaches, and you’ve got something special. The whole setting felt intimate but not precious—just the right balance of warmth and sophistication. It was an atmosphere that felt deeply personal, like a dinner party with your favorite people, only with vows and a lot more champagne. Everything about it reflected Michelle and Russ. It was the kind of setting that made you want to settle in and stay awhile.
And stay they did—laughing, dancing, and celebrating like they had nowhere else to be. These two threw the kind of wedding that didn’t just look good—it felt good. And really, that’s the best kind of wedding there is.
