Between the amazing couple and top venue, Virginia and Colin’s Glen Foerd wedding was the kind of day that stays with you. The weather couldn’t have been better with soft, golden light making everything feel a little more special. Virginia chose royal blue, pink, and white for her colors, a timeless combination that looked right at home against the mansion’s grandeur. She got ready in one of our favorite bridal suites in the city, a space with warm tones and the most incredible natural light. It was the perfect setting for quiet moments before the day began. When it was time for the first look, Virginia had a surprise for Colin: a framed photo of his beloved cat, Baby Sasha. It was a small gesture, but one that said everything about who they are as a couple—thoughtful, lighthearted, and deeply connected.
Colin isn’t just a cat guy—he’s the cat guy. And yes, Baby Sasha was there. Not just as a guest, but as a full-fledged member of the wedding party. Colin adores her, and she, in turn, carried herself with the dignity of a creature who knows she is cherished. She arrived at the ceremony in a flower-adorned stroller, a detail that was both amusing and oddly fitting. The ceremony itself was beautifully understated. A single white cloth draped over a tree branch, fresh greenery woven in—nothing excessive, just a setting that allowed the moment to take center stage. There were tears, of course, but just as many bursts of laughter. That balance, that ability to feel everything fully, is part of what made this day so memorable.
Cocktail hour unfolded in the last light of the afternoon, guests gathered outside with drinks in hand, taking in the day. The food? Unreal. Jamie Hollander Catering came through with grilled cheese triangles and little cups of tomato soup, which is exactly the kind of snack everyone needs more of at weddings. No regrets, no crumbs left behind. As the sun dipped lower, the reception space came to life—elegant yet effortless, fresh greenery weaving through the tables, soft candlelight adding warmth. Baby Sasha’s photo held a place of honor, a small but meaningful tribute to the bond she shares with Colin.
The rest of the evening was exactly as it should be—laughter spilling over during toasts, easy conversation between old friends, a dance floor full of people who had no intention of calling it an early night. There was nothing rushed or forced about it. Just a celebration that felt right, led by two people who are deeply loved. It’s the kind of wedding that lingers in your memory, not because of any one particular moment, but because of how it all felt.
