Hazel and Jeffrey’s wedding day didn’t start with separate hotel rooms or a dramatic first look. Nope. It started with coffee, inside jokes, and their dog Coco zooming around their house like she knew something big was happening. (Which, honestly, she probably did.) Hazel slipped into an ivory dress with a bow detail—sweet with a classic feel—and laced up a pair of sneakers underneath, because priorities. Meanwhile, Jeffrey, steady as ever, helped fasten her necklace while Coco stared up at them, tail thumping, probably wondering why no one was putting on her leash.
Then came the rain. But instead of panicking, they grabbed an umbrella and went with it, totally unbothered. We started with rainy portraits at City Hall and then moved onto more romantic shots among the book shelves of the Free Library. These two were so sweet with each other, making them easy to photograph.
This Free Library of Philadelphia wedding ceremony was as nonconventional as it was heartfelt. Instead of separate entrances, Hazel and Jeffrey walked each other down the aisle, a quiet, beautiful gesture that spoke volumes. And if you were expecting a perfectly choreographed first dance at the reception—think again. They skipped the first dance, skipped the parent dances, and just let the evening unfold naturally, focusing on spending time with the people they love rather than following a script.
Some weddings are productions. This one was a love story in its purest form—easy, intimate, and effortless.
