Was it a wedding or the best taco party you’ve ever been to? That’s a toss-up, but Alex and Nate’s Bok wedding ceremony on the rooftop overlooking Philadelphia was unmatchable. From the painted cactus paddles to the margaritas and churros, this wedding fiesta was one of our favorites.
Bok is one of the most unique wedding venues in Philadelphia. Where else can you get married with a view like this? Coincidentally, this is also where our studio is located so scouting locations was really tough. As in we walked downstairs to get a coffee and then slowly wandered through the corridors we see everyday and re-imagined them with a bride and groom. Which really, in a space like this, is incredibly fun. The contrast of a perfectly made-up bride in front of wall of peeling paint (lovingly kept as is because it was just that perfect mix of colors and textures) is exactly what we’re drawn to.
The dichotomy of beautiful and gritty, the glamorous with the industrial. Bok just has that cool vibe without even trying. Hmm, kind of like Alex and Nate. Can’t wait to catch up with these two over drinks when Bok Bar opens in the spring.
