I love how we see so differently.
Dutch and I just returned from an amazing month-long trip to Southeast Asia and our pictures could not be more different. Dutch brought his iPhone and I brought a Lumix point-and-shoot. You probably think it’s strange, us being photographers, that we don’t take “real” cameras when traveling to one of the most beautiful areas of the world. But we both agree (from experience) that we travel much too simply to have thousands of dollars of camera gear strapped to our back. But mostly it’s very freeing. It brings us to the root of why we became photographers to begin with…the thrill of discovery and preservation of that memory.
This is what Dutch saw in Thailand and Lao:
Next week I’ll get my pictures up!
