Marissa’s Beachside Maternity Session
A maternity session with the family dog by the ocean for couples who love simple, honest photos.
We’ve been with Marissa and Mike from the very beginning, and their story has woven us into so many chapters of their family’s life. Their wedding was the start, which then led us to photograph and film each of Marissa’s sisters’ weddings. Now, being invited back to capture her maternity session feels like a continuation of a long, beautiful thread. We met them down the shore at their family home and started easy—bare feet, jeans, white tees, and their beloved dog Teddy (I adore Teddy) happily tagging along. The vibe was relaxed, almost like a beach engagement session, just with the anticipation of parenthood layered in.
Later, Marissa slipped into a stunning tan gown that showed off her bump, and we moved inside the house. The circular window with its cozy little nook framed her so beautifully. To finish, we headed back out to the dunes, the sand glowing around them as Mike and the pup joined in again for those last family photos. The whole session balanced casual ease with a touch of elegance—a true reflection of the life they’re building together.
