A cinematic wedding film at The Lucy captured by Philadelphia wedding videographers

It felt like walking into a family reunion. We first met the Samuels family years ago at Sara’s sister’s wedding, so when Sara and Kevin asked us to film their Philadelphia wedding, it felt like coming home. The laughter, the hugs, the easy way everyone moved around each other made the day feel warm and familiar. We already knew this family could throw one incredible party, and knowing we’ll be celebrating with them again next year (for Sara’s OTHER sister’s wedding) makes it even better.

Sara and Kevin were married at The Lucy in Center City Philadelphia. Their day had the perfect balance of excitement and tenderness. There were the big, joy-filled moments like the trolley ride to the venue, family photos, and their celebration on Broad Street as cars honked in applause. Then there were the softer ones, like Kevin kissing Sara’s forehead between portraits or the two of them singing to each other during their first dance. Sara’s parents also know how to deliver a heartfelt moment. During the ceremony, her mom shared words that made everyone pause: “Sara and Kevin proved the belief of the ancient Hebrews that from every human being there rises a light that reaches straight to heaven. And when two souls that are destined to be together find each other, their streams of light flow together and a single brighter light goes from that.” It was simple, beautiful, and exactly what the day felt like.

The couple’s portraits at the Merchants Exchange in Old City were classic Philly, surrounded by timeless stone and glowing fall light. Inside The Lucy, the celebration was both glamorous and inviting, filled with warm autumn florals and pops of teal and white. Sara wore a cowl-neck gown with draped off-the-shoulder sleeves and a long pearl-accented veil before changing into a short white sequin dress with floral details. The dance floor came alive the moment dinner ended and never slowed down. It was the kind of wedding that reminds us why we love being Philadelphia wedding videographers, capturing every bit of joy, emotion, and the beauty of a day like this.
