Chris and Poorvi’s wedding weekend unfolded in three parts, each with its own rhythm and setting. It began with a vibrant Sangeet at the Kimmel Center, full of color and emotion. The next morning, they held a traditional Hindu ceremony in The Logan Hotel—quiet, intentional, and deeply moving. And finally, they wrapped the celebration at the Philadelphia Museum of Art with a gallery tour and a reception in the Great Stair Hall that had style, energy, and a little bit of magic.

Poorvi’s mehndi was something else. Her hands and feet were covered in elegant, intricate designs that climbed gracefully past her wrists. She wore a stunning aqua outfit—somewhere between glacial and seafoam—with a subtle shimmer that caught the light as she moved.
The Sangeet at the Kimmel Center had this electric, joyful energy from the start. People were already tearing up during the first round of speeches, and then Chris and Poorvi pulled off a full-on Bollywood dance performance that had the whole room on their feet. Not a half-hearted attempt either—they committed. That moment cracked the whole weekend open in the best way.

The next morning, we were up early at The Logan Hotel. That stretch of quiet before the city really wakes up felt fitting for their Hindu ceremony.
Poorvi wore a soft red saree that caught the morning light in the most beautiful way. It was simple, classic, and powerful. Chris showed up in a crisp white sherwani. There was this one moment during the ceremony where Poorvi looked at Chris and it just landed differently. You could see it in both of them: deep admiration, nerves, excitement, love, all rolled into a quick glance.

After brunch and family photos, the two changed—Poorvi into an ivory lehenga and Chris into a black tux with a bowtie. They nailed both first looks, and then we had time to explore the Philadelphia Museum of Art for portraits. This part of the day was amazing. We got to wander through their favorite galleries—quiet corners, grand staircases, unexpected light. Photographing at the PMA always feels like a gift, but especially when you have a couple who’s excited to soak it in.
Then the doors opened for the reception. Guests filed into the Great Stair Hall, dressed in a full range of styles, cultures, and textures. It felt like the room itself was humming. The two made their entrance from the top of the grand staircase, pausing halfway down as cheers filled the space. Sparklers burst, champagne flutes raised—if there was a moment that felt like a movie, it was this.
The space was decked out in rich textures with tapestries lining the walls, cascading greenery, and large pastel floral arrangements. Constellation served food that people stopped to talk about, it looked like art and tasted even better.
Once the speeches wrapped, the mood flipped. The party took off and never let up. The dance floor stayed packed all night, full of energy and joy and people who clearly came ready to celebrate.
