Jimmy and Alena’s Chestnut Hill engagement session was a walk down memory lane for them. It started at Chestnut Hill Station. It was quiet, simple, and a little cinematic. From there, we walked into the Japanese restaurant where it all began. Alena was a hostess, and Jimmy was washing dishes, they were young and sweet and head over heels.
From there, we wandered through the charming, European-feeling streets of Chestnut Hill, letting the memories of the beginning steps of their relationship wash over them. Ten years of togetherness. We stopped at Coffee by Day, Whiskey by Night for espresso martinis (highly recommended), and finished out the evening in that perfect pre-sunset glow.
We are firm believers in engagement sessions. They are such a great way to ease into being in front of the camera before the wedding day. It gives us a chance to hang out, swap stories, and figure out the little things, like how you naturally interact and what makes you laugh. By the time your wedding rolls around, you’ll already know how we work, and those first few minutes of feeling awkward in front of the lens will be long gone.
