Dylan and Olivia’s Brooklyn engagement session was an absolute blast. These two are just so awesome—Dylan showing up in the perfect shirt that’s a little bold but not over the top, and Olivia rocking the classic white tee and jeans combo, complete with stylish sunnies. We started off at Pinkerton Wine Bar, which set the laid-back vibe for the day. Then we hit the streets, and man, Brooklyn did not disappoint. There’s something special about city streets—the mix of architecture, colorful storefronts, neon murals, and hidden gardens make for the perfect backdrop. The whole vibe was relaxed, fun, and real.
The best part? They asked to add some medium format film to the session, which was a nostalgic twist. Dutch and I started out shooting film, so bringing out the Hasselblad was such a treat. It took me back to the early days of our photography journey, and honestly, their film shots turned out to be some of my favorites from the year. To wrap it all up, we made our way to the waterfront with a stunning view of NYC in the background, and the light was just magic. This session was a mix of everything—cool, fun, real, and beautifully nostalgic.
