Naomi and Jesse’s wedding at The Fillmore in Philadelphia was absolutely unforgettable. Set in the heart of Fishtown, the industrial charm of the concert venue set the stage for their eclectic and fun day. Aside from how jaw-dropping their wedding was, they are the two most down-to-earth, fun people you could meet. We enjoyed every second of our day with Naomi and Jesse so much that we honestly didn’t want it to end. It definitely left us wondering when the next big celebration is!
Their retro theme brought the 70s to life, starting with the couple’s grand arrival in a classic white VW bus, a perfect nod to the era. The ceremony was vibrant and unique, with colorful streamers draped over the aisle seats and arch, and bubbles filling the air as Naomi walked down the aisle.
Naomi’s earthy and whimsical style is amazing. We were so excited she fully embraced it on her wedding day. Her dress featured an airy layered bottom and intricate floral embroidery over a sheer top. The look was then completed with a flower crown full of pastel colored blooms and rich greenery. I can still see her sweet face, lined in flowers, grinning as she played with her dress just before she turned around to reveal her final look to her mother.
These two managed the perfect length ceremony. Not too short, but not too long. At a venue like the Fillmore you want to get to the dancing as soon as possible right? Naomi and Jesse said their “I do’s” and headed back down the aisle as everyone blew bubbles, congratulating them.
The reception was where the Fillmore truly came alive. Tables were decorated with an array of pastel colors, perfectly complementing the couple’s playful vibe. A first for us, guests sported custom-made shirts and koozies, adding a personal and quirky touch to the festivities. After a few sweet speeches, the band took full advantage of the iconic concert stage, turning the reception into a lively performance. Once again, Naomi stunned with an iconic outfit change, switching into a deep v-cut jumpsuit that was STUNNING. (We seriously still think about it to this day.) Dancing under the stage lights, the energy of the crowd mirrored that of a live concert. When ticker tape fell from the ceiling during the night’s finale, it was a moment of absolute joy. This was by far one of the most fun receptions we’ve ever shot.
We can’t stress enough how much we love a truly fun, carefree, and authentic wedding day. I mean, who wouldn’t? Naomi and Jesse’s day was a shining example of that. Sweetwater has always been blessed with the very best couples who quickly turn into friends.
We couldn’t be more grateful.
