Lexi’s and Dan‘s summer garden wedding at the Fairmont Park Horticulture Center in Philadelphia is the blueprint of what weddings should be. Of course, it was gorgeous. The celebration took place in the lush greenhouse, surrounded by vibrant greenery and airy white florals that brought out the natural beauty of this beloved Philly garden venue nestled in Fairmount Park. With soft sunlight streaming through the glass and modern furniture rentals adding a sophisticated touch, the greenhouse felt like a beautiful oasis crafted just for them. The Horticulture Center has everything we love in an outdoor wedding venue – beautiful light, beautiful scenery, and no stress if you have rain (in fact, the inside is perhaps even lovelier than the outside).
But that’s just the pretty part. We knew it would be pretty. What exceeded our expectations in every way was the vibe. Brimming with laughter, joy and excitement, Lexi & Dan carried off a wedding that felt like the biggest, most anticipated party of the year. It was glorious.
From start to finish Lexi’s look was incredibly chic. Her slip dress was classic and effortless paired with a sleek bun. The cherry on top was the stunning pearl necklace (a back necklace to be precise, though that term hardly does it justice) that Lexi chose to wear that was her grandmother’s. It might just be our favorite bridal jewelry to date.
When Dan walked down the aisle, everyone cheered and clapped, hooted and hollered. When Lexi walked down the aisle, she was laughing so hard with her dad, sharing this incredible moment before looking up and seeing all their friends and family. And Dan at the end waiting, gleaming. We adored these two and their ability to let go, celebrate their wedding day with unabashed joy and not a care in the world.
To follow suit with the rest of the day, the reception was a blast. The speeches were hilarious, the band was on fire, and the guest had MOVES on the dance floor. We wanted to put down our cameras and get out there ourselves. Oh, and no surprise that Lexi’s reception dress was a knockout. The layers of fringe were so fun and fit her personality perfectly.
Anytime we think that a Fairmount Park Horticulture Center wedding can’t get more beautiful, we are proved wrong. Two Birds Planning, Belovely, and La Maison Chic outdid themselves on this one. Congrats Lexi & Dan!
