Could I think of two other people who had this good of a time on their wedding day? I don’t know, it’d be tough. Shawna and JP were relaxed, easy, and sooo much fun at their Morris House Hotel Wedding. We laughed so much my sides were hurting. My favorite was the epic double cake smash (really, I’ve never seen a bride with quite this much cake on her face and still smiling. To be fair, she started it).
Before the ceremony started and guests arrived, we took a stroll through Washington Square Park and took photos around Morris House Hotel. The entire neighborhood is so beautiful, you can really just step out of the hotel, wander a few blocks and find a variety of historic Philadelphia charm. We live nearby in Queen Village so this is an area we know so well and we’re constantly seeking out new spots when we walk our dog.
Morris House Hotel is one of our favorite venues for a couple of reasons. It’s charm, it’s intimacy, the lovely courtyard surrounded by ivy are the big selling points. The historic hotel where your friends and family can stay and celebrate with you all weekend is a huge plus. But most of all, it exudes a warmth and serenity most often found in the country and yet it’s surprisingly nestled right into a city block. It’s a really special place and we loved celebrating with Shawna and JP on their wedding day.
