I just photographed the cutest couple on the cutest street. I love photographing on little cobblestone streets in Philadelphia. I jump on my bike about an hour before the shoot and scout out blossoming trees, ivy-covered walls, colorful row homes and cool signage. I like to shoot in new places as much as possible. Which is funny, because when you’ve been living and shooting in Philly for 10 years I have A LOT of great spots in my back pocket that I could use. This particular adorable street I’ve visited before, and I admit it is still one of my favorites.
This was an engagement session that I’ve been particularly looking forward to because I met these two so long ago! I first met Kevin while I was photographing his brother’s wedding and he was best man. I think we had just moved to Philly, so it was seriously 10 years ago or so. I then met Tasha when I was photographing Kevin’s cousin’s wedding maybe five years ago. I think I said, oh my god you’re so beautiful, can I please please please photograph your wedding when you and Kevin get engaged? Finally, finally (geez, Kevin, it took long enough), Kevin proposed and here we all are. These two were a blast to photograph, they were so willing to be in the moment and have fun;, mixing silly and sweet and romantic and smoldering. They were so playful and great. Loved it.
