It wouldn’t be a Grace Winery wedding without farm animals and when you add two veterinarians getting married, the animal count goes up exponentially. Let’s see, we’ll start with the showstopper, Rosie. Rosie is a sweet little donkey born just one week before with ears reaching up to the sky. She was irresistible. Rosie’s mommy was understandably protective of her baby’s newfound fame. Then there was Bishop, the majestic white horse, who was just a bit jealous since he was used to being the star. Chloe and Chris also brought their three dogs along, only one of which made it into photos due to excitement. There was also an abundance of goats, a cat, and the resident black lab.
That amount of animals alone makes for a fun wedding, but Chloe and Chris’s wedding was gorgeous besides. The drizzle let up just in time for us to take pictures in the lush vineyard, play with the animals and allow the ceremony to be held outside, meanwhile Love ‘n Fresh Flowers filled the barn with sweet blooms. Fun fact, Chloe got to pick out the seeds for her bouquet in the spring so that Jennie could get started growing the flowers. Love ‘n Fresh is at the forefront of urban flower farms and it’s awesome to see how something so local and sustainable can be so beautiful. You know I love urban gardening and I’d would be lost without my community garden plot in the city.
Chloe looked stunning in her Francesca Miranda gown, makeup by Shimmer and Spice, and hair by Up Your Do. The invitations by Happy Menocal knocked my socks off, complete with a watercolor painting of Grace winery and their pup. And no surprise here, Birchtree Catering and Nutmeg Cake Design brought the deliciousness.
Grace Winery is one of our favorite places to photograph. Between the vineyard, stone barn, historic house, and expansive property, there are so many places to photograph and play. Besides that, the people that work here are incredibly nice and helpful. Thanks Rachel and Liz, for making our job easy.
Congratulations Chloe and Chris, it was just as magical as we knew it would be.
