My favorite ceremony is a Quaker ceremony. Simple, heartfelt, and shared by everyone close to you. It was a reflection of Nancy and Patrick’s thoughtfulness and dedication to their family and friends. They wanted everyone to take part in their union at Swarthmore Friends Meetinghouse and even Dutch and I were asked to sign Nancy and Patrick’s wedding certificate as witnesses. Guests took turns standing up and saying a few words, reciting a poem, or recounting a memory. This is what weddings are all about and we couldn’t have been happier to be a part of Nancy and Patrick’s day.
So cute! Patrick’s mom asked Dutch to take a picture of Patrick under his old grade school picture hanging on the stairs.
This is such a great idea. In lieu of table numbers at their St. Davids Golf Club reception, Nancy made books for their guests to write in. So for table 5, Nancy and Patrick will read the notes on their 5th wedding anniversary.
