Faunbrook Wedding: Dana + Nick

Dana and Nick’s wedding at Faunbrook Bed & Breakfast was about as DIY as it gets. From the “poof’s made out of coffee filters (500-700 each!) to painting signs to designing the entire table top, Dana was the driving creative force and her family helped execute every part. My favorite detail was probably the simplest project of all, the hydrangeas were all cut from Dana’s father’s garden. When Dana was a little girl, she used to pick hydrangea bouquets for play weddings! Dana and Nick bought potted hydrangea bushes to decorate the ceremony so that they could plant them in their own yard after their wedding.

I love this bouquet by Katie Mac Floral Design.

This bright-eyed little chimpmunk on the left is Dana and Nick’s daughter. I’ve had the pleasure of photographing her many times, starting when she was just a bump in mom’s belly. She is such a happy kid.

It proved to be quite a long day for A. Not only did she sleep through the ceremony, her uncle carried her asleep down the aisle. That’s one way to avoid having a nervous flower girl : )  A’s cousin. on the other hand, was loving the ceremony.

A sweet, sweets table with a perfect cake by Cakes and Candies by Maryellen.

The tables were beautiful. Wooden boxes full of succulents, a hand-made moss runner, hand-picked hydrangea bouquets, stones as escort cards…I could go on and on. It was really just perfect.

Lastly, Dana’s mom made these adorable bird seed favors. Wait, there’s one more. See the monogrammed moss letters on the wall below? Dana with a hot glue gun and a bunch of moss was responsible for those beauties.

Limoncello Ristorante put out a delicious meal and everyone had a wonderful evening. Dana and Nick’s wedding was such an intimate affair. Truly inspired.
